Are My Trout Shrinking?
« on: 23/11/2010 at 12:25 »
Here is a link to an interesting article that Ewan sent me, I didn't know that this happened. One would expect fish to grow a bit leaner in the winter, but I hadn't thought about them actually shrinking :roll

I didn't experience this last winter, I'm pretty sure that my trout actually put on weight as they were quite plump after the prolonged ice period. I put this down to the prolific food in the old loch and the thick ice .... which meant a lack of hassle from predators

Thanks for the link Ewan :z16
Cheers
