How do you store your tying hooks, I am trying to find something big enough and suitable for the job in hand but struggling badly!
I hate keeping hooks in packets and wee boxs and wondered if anyone had found something that solved this problem.

Why not make a romantic guesture and offer to take Mrs Baz shopping to union square in Aberdeen.  Get yourself into hobbycraft and they have loads of boxes and tubs for organising beads and the like.  They are bound to have what you are after.  Plus you might get a wee bonus for being so nice

Don't even think about going to Union Square at this time of year.  An hour tailback right up to King street just to get into the car park on Sunday

is that what it was.  I was coming back from the beach area and saw the queue so went up union street instead.  Of course Baz and Mra Baz could take the train from down their way!

I have a small compartmented box I picked up in B&Q or home base.  However it can be a bit awkward getting individual hooks out of the small compartments. Because of this problem a made a rack to hang the wee boxes the flies come in, but this does not work for the cardboard boxes TMC hooks come in.

Full size compatrment boxes dont fit in my offshore bag 
I have tried little beed storage boxes that all screw together but they get battered about something wrotten when they bounce of the heli decks!
I need something small and robust that does not open on its own accord!
I will have a look in aberdeen next time i am up, what i am thinking about is something like a wheatley fly box that is all compartments but not found one as yet!

How about this box from Mustad ?  I've got one for components for my sea rigs.  It's about the same size as a normal fly box and is nice and robust.

I've got a few of them Mike and they are excellent, although when full of wee hooks a tweezers is still useful to one hook out at a time and not end up with hundreds all over the floor!

I have these at the moment but they are prone to splitting open and hooks ending up everywhere in my kit bag!
Nice for home storage but not practical for using on the run
