« on: 04/11/2010 at 15:17 »
Hi folks

We've had some cracking trout photos on the forum recently and this has given me an idea for a bit of fun :z17

Let's have a competition for the best photo of a Haddo Trout this winter ..... a photo of a trout that you catch at Haddo between November 1st and March 31st :wink
The prize for the best photo will be one of the new Barrio Edition Fly Reels :z16

Please post your photo entries in this thread ........ Good luck!

Best wishes
Mike

Ewan Lindsay sent me this photo that he took at Haddo today. Ewan was trying out his new fly rod and christened it with a 1.5 lb Brownie and also netted this 5 lb beauty!
This is an excellent photo to get the competition going ...... Thanks Ewan :z16

Best wishes

A 5 lb brownie is a stonking fish, well done. Looks like a lovely fish as well.

Here is my effort.  Sorry about the picture quality.  I only had my phone with me.  They really are great fighting fish.

One from Jedi Jimbo

Maybe not as big as some entries but a lovely fish all the same - picture doesn't do it justice, it had striking red spots.

1st trip of the year to Haddo today and had an excellent day.  Several good rainbows and a couple of very nice over-wintered Brownies in very good condition.  Although it looks like the cormarant had a go at the smaller one's tail...!

1st 2011 entries to the Winter Photo Competition.

I've just noticed by looking at the 2nd fish's markings that it may be the same fish I caught last year...have a look at the 1st photo I submitted at the top of this post...

Excellent day at Haddo today.  Lots of good-fighting and very healthy rainbows.

It's about time we had a Rainbow in the winter photo competition...because Rainbows need love too... :z6

Ok, I'll admit it - I didn't catch any Brownies today!

More great sport at Haddo today and ended up with Rainbows, Blues and Browns.  Again, all in excellent condition.  All of them fell to a Hot-Head Olive Damsel fished very deep & slow Sink-And-Draw with eyes on the tip of your line at all times...!
