Haddo Trout Fishery ( to September 27th )

Hi folks

The Daddy, Klinks, F-Flies, Emergers, Sedges, Damsels, Okey Dokeys, Black Dancers, White Fritz and a blast from the past, the Ace of Spades, have been on the menu at Haddo this week.

A quieter week, partly due to the weather and partly due to a local fly fishing club booking all 5 boats on Sunday and then failing to turn up :z6

Anglers have enjoyed some great mixed sport with Rainbows, Blues and Brown Trout. A couple of the resident Browns netted this week have been in the 2 to 4 lb range and the more recently stocked Brownies have been caught in good numbers up to just below 2 lb.

Tom Lessels enjoyed a great session when he tempted 21 fish up to 10 lb, Noel Kelly had 20 up to 10½ lb, Ronnie Birnie 18 up to 4 lb, Frank Thrall 17 up to 6 lb, Allan Baird 17 up to 5 lb, Pete Walls 16 up to 5 lb, Jim Souter 15 up to 7 lb, Richard Hay 12 up to 14 lb, Ian Falconer 12 up to 9 lb, Stuart Wilson 12 up to 7 lb, Graham Walls 10 up to 12 lb, Jimmy Rhind 10 up to 12 lb, Paul Machray 10 up to 8 lb and Alan Smith netted 10 fish up to 3 lb.

Best wishes
Mike
