Nice one John :z16 When you say cracking brown just how cracking do you mean?

About 2lb Noel.  The one I got to the net was a wee fella but beautifully marked.  Mike has a picture.

Thanks Mike.  :z18

They are cracking fish.   :grin

I think the rod was under a wee bit of pressure in that shot   :shock

I don't know what the wind was blowing down off the trees today, but the "Broons" were bubbling all over the place.

The rainbows weren't rising much though, I wonder what it was that attracted the attention of one species and not the other? :roll

It is fascinating to watch all these little quirks on a day to day basis ..... but I'm none the wiser :z4

How do you expect anyone to believe he caught it on a dry when he has a big black lure and a popper on his fly patch  :z4
Always the purist i see Ben  :wink

Lure Baz, where?  Do you mean the streamer?  I don't fish those dirty lure things  :z4

Was a really good days fishing today, Haddo is fishing very well and all the fish I caught were caught by covering rising fish with a dry.  The browns were up on top for quite a while, this afternoon much more so than the blues or rainbows.

Cheers

Hi Mike,

Good to hear about the Browns. :z16

Any free boats on Saturday?  Over in Norway but home tonight and I've a new rod to try.

You're not wrong Noel.  I was wondering exactly how many rods Iain has tucked away in his shed..... Still at least when I get round to buying a new rod I'm 100% sure that Iain can review it for me!

Full Saturday I'm afraid Iain, but I have a boat left on Sunday and you could text me mid morning on Saturday to see if anybody has cancelled?

Cheers
