Dee Brown trout
« on: 19/09/2010 at 11:52 »
I was just reading the catch report on fish Dee and noticed an angler landed a 7lb brown trout at crathie.

Ghillie Archie Hay reported the capture of a 7 lb Brown Trout at Crathie and the fish has been taken for scientific analysis by the River Dee Trust. This is a very rare capture as the River Dee is not renowned for big brown trout.

Ok so wee no its rare for the Dee but what will the scientific analysis determine?

It will be interesting to see what they find, but the Dee has more big trout in it than some would like  :wink
The analysis may reveal that the fish has spent some time at sea, but then again maybe not :!
Will watch with interest to see what they find
