Rod now sold

Recently bought this factory-built Winston BIIx 9'0" #5 in really excellent condition, and complete with rod bag, aluminium tube, and warranty card

Picasa Web Albums - andrew - Winston BIIx ...

I've used it once for less than an hour. Unfortunately it's way too bendy for me - I've now finally realised I like stiff, tippy, poker-like #5 rods.

If you like a slower, through action #5, this may be for you.

How slow? It felt that there was enough time for me to roll a ciggy waiting for the rod to straighten in between my backcast and starting the forward stroke!

£258 incl RMSD

You are talking about my favourite rod.  :shock  I don't think it's slow at all. It bends, maybe more than you like, but it straightens again very quickly.

Anyway, at that price its a bargain. If I didn't have one already, I'd take it.
