Handy Micro Pattern
« on: 26/08/2010 at 21:52 »
As per usual, a general micro fly pattern which can be tied in a variety of colours and dressed short on a longer shanked hook (3x) gives confidence when fishing for decent fish on small patterns

Hook:          size 18 Niche N502
Thread:       Spiderweb
Body:          Dark Dun Spectrablend Dry Fly
Thorax:       Ice Dubbing - peacock
Hackle:        Grizzle
Post:           Grey Aerowing

tying is a little off as it was done with the camera set up in front of the vise

Nice fly Iain

great sequence, season must be coming to an end, we are all starting to play with our vices again :z4
I love the style, simplicity is king. Bloody big "micro" fly though :z4

Hi Alex,

Are you fishing in Souf Afreeka?

That pictures not of a micro fly..................you're so tight I'll bet that's an old style 5p and your fly's tied on a size 14 :z4

Here's what you need in your boxes..................it's been consistent on running and still this season.
