Mike unfortunately I'm in no position to offer a 'best fly' as yet for traditional Brown Trouting. I'll tell you once my tally becomes a bit more respectable :oops

Up until last Saturday it was the DHE.  It took all three trout that I saw over 3 outings. Now the score stands at:
DHE 3 - Parachute Adams 4. For some reason the spiders have not connected this season - yet but there's a few months to go yet.

Up to now definitely cdc Olives. Most Trout that we have managed to catch have been on these even when they7 were not seen to be taking them. Had quite a few on Waterhen Bloas too.

With this hot weather I guess I would be going out late and it would probably be Paraduns,spinners and Klinkhamers fishing late into the night,
