Since the last report fishing has been on the down side although some good catches have still been recorded amongst which was;
A Gibson Gardenstown 19 fish to 4lbs
K McKay MacDuff 10 fish to 4lbs
C Field Fraserburgh 8 fish to 3lbs
J White Fraserburgh 7 fish to 3lbs
Amongst the best catches it is noticable that lures predominate with the Bunny Leech, Bloodworm, Olive Damsel, Orange Blob and Nymphs being the best catchers.
Today, Sunday, we have had a good downpour of rain and the water has been flushed of weed and, although slightly coloured, it should clear quickly and hopefully inject more willingness to feed amongst the fish stock.
With rising temperatures forecast and the fresher water and in the absence of the North winds, this week promises the return of Buzzers and dry flies.
All the new boats are now in the water and proving successful.
Delgatie Castle is now a Troutmaster water.
