River Don Info....
« on: 21/05/2010 at 18:28 »
Hi guys new to the forum and just looking for some info... in college in Aberdeen away at the moment doing my project and will be back to write it up in early July.

I was just wondering if someone could recommend some decent trout and salmon water on the River Don that wouldn't break the bank weekly permit would be nice but wouldn't mind getting some day tickets for the times Il get a chance to get out (will be flyfishing only).

Liked the look of the stretch in seaton park behind hillhead where I used to live but never got a chance to fish it. As part of my MSc also got to go on a fieldtrip to the hatchery on the river Don and saw some lovely stretches in the upper reaches so going to try to make the most of the last few weeks il have in Aberdeen before heading back to Ireland.

Any info would be great, where to get permits etc. Thanks in advance.

James.
