While Lough fishing recently In the west of Ireland I took a few brownies for the pan. They were stuffed with what looked like little eggs. Greenish translucent and about 3 millimetres in diameter. Next day one brownie I caught spilled a few similar looking things from its mouth which I reckon were the undigested version of the above. These were less egg and more tic like with a tiny head and legs or something at the front.
Any ideas guys?

Possibly a type of Daphnia you had there Noel, have a look at this:

Thanks Hamish that's just what I was after Haven't identified them yet but there is a lot to look at on that site.

I think i know what you are talking about i came across similar bugs at haddo I think they are water mites they look like a small ball with legs. The ones at Haddo were quite dark and visibly different from daphnia.
