Hi Wullie

Pheasant tails lend themselves nicely to swimming nymph hooks (especially with Hare ear thorax or in olive)
Failing that  i'd paint them red or blue and glue a small bead on the end :grin

What size are they? I bought a few packs from Richard Walker years and years ago on his recommendation. I think they were about a size 10 and 8. He recommended just tying up normal Damsel patterns on them. Seemed to work for me.

I will see if I can find one in my old fly box...probably not seen the light of day for 10 years..lol

Hiya All

The ones I have got are a size 10 maybe I will just make up my own patterns and see how they work. I will post some pics once I decide what to do

Yours Wullie
