Okay my dad caught one of these when we were at Haddo at the weekend.  Neither of us had seen one of these before and a quick search on the internet didn't reveal much in the way of exactly what a blue trout is.  Can anybody point me in the right direction of exactly what it is?

It is just a variety of rainbow trout, selectively bred.
