Well done guys  :z16

I was out on Saturday also, tried a beat for the first time near strathdon.  Was a strange sort of day conditions seemed quite good but fish didnt seem to want to play ball saw very few.  Started fishing at 7:30 and finally caught one at 6 just before i was about to pack up.

Pool where i caught the fish.

Weighed 11lb in the Maclean net.  Black and Orange Shrimp fly 5ft fast sinking polyleader.

Brilliant fun on the single hander.  Going to explore the upper don more next year lovely place to fish.

Was out for 3hours in the hurricane today beside Alford.  Had one fish on for a few seconds.

Well done one and all - lots of fish and on singlehanders to boot. The excitement has also brought out some great reports and phot's which I've always said brings a post to life.

Special congrats to Matt who ties lots of nice flies and has put in the effort this season. John, that fish is only one cast away. Michael, your an old sweat now. Noel was your fish on 'the outfit'? Well done also to Paul, Dave & .............?

Ben what's the tally up to now?  obscene!!!!

And a nice casting shot, seriously folded up V loop  :z3

Had a few other takes and fish on & off too.  Conn's Sunray Shadow accounted for all action today fished on a 5.6ips Rio 7' Versileader.

Cracking fish gents,  Michael that must have been a great fight on a single-hander.

Ben those casting shots are great.  Any chance we can get a closer look at your Willie Gunn?  I always struggle with the proportions on a tube like that.

Hi Matt,

Zoom in on this and you can see it.  I'll take a proper pic this week and put it in the flytying forum.

I nipped out for a couple of hours to Waterside on satuarday morning since it was the last day of the season had one good pull and a couple of small brownies.  Never saw any fish, water was up a bit compared to the week before.
