Hi Guys,

This year we'll fish the lochs of Assynt, hotel in Ullapool :z4. Their website is very informative, but do the forummembers have some hands-on information?

Thanks!

Sorry Jeroem never fished there, take plenty Midge reppelent with you though, go with traditional scottish wet flies,  Black Pennel, bibio , Kate Mcklaren , bumbbles and snatchers also do the trick.

hi Jeroem

havent fished that far south but fish the hill locks around lock Assynt.great fishing.the more remote locks are very intresting.we normally stay just north of lock innver

as flys go deer hair sedge is number one in bright orange seems to work very well as with standered wets ie kates bibio's.i will try and get more info from friends who have fished in the area
