Great ties Baz.
Had a good deal of success on Butterstone earlier in the season with similar snatchers.
Found the viva style to be a particular favourite.

Very nice Baz. I have a row of snatchers that admittedly I have rarely used but I can hardly remember ever having a fish on one. When and how do you fish them?

Black and green is an all time favorite in the winter for me whether its a lure, buzzer, cormorant or a snatcher.
When bank fishing or fishing from an anchored boat in the winter i would have it as a the top dropper on a floating line, give it a try and fish it as you would a buzzer. Fish also dont mind snatchers being fished quickly and i think thats how they were fished alot on leven back in the day  :wink

This is a killer winter flee  :z16
And no it does not fish well under a bung  :z4

For the first 3 or 4 years of my fly fishing "career" I used nothing but Vivas and Sweeny Todds..the only other flies I had were Missionarys..lol. The Viva always caught, no matter what.

As I started to realise there were more flies out there, I bought a few Bitch Creeks (Well, to a young boy they looked fantastic!) and they worked a treat, stripped back on a fast sink line.

Yet I have not used a BLack and Lime Green fly for perhaps 10 years!!! I must be missing something...will tie up a few of those snatchers as they look the business

..thanks for the inspiration!

Looks like you had a great time Baz, it's always nice to see somebody passing on their tactics to somebody else, rather than telling everybody how many they have caught ...... Great stuff!

Cheers
