Haddo Trout Fishery
« on: 19/12/2006 at 02:04 »
Hi folks

Haddo has fished reasonably well again this week, although there have been one or two "more challenging" days and a couple when the loch has frozen over

It is a good idea to phone me at the fishery on 07810 868897 to check conditions before travelling at this time of year, as it can freeze over quite easily and is not always fishable

David Batty fished the loch for the first time this week and caught his first ever charr and his first double, a cracking rainbow of over 12 lb. Ian Knox also enjoyed a good session tempting 10 fish up to 7 lb, Mark Stephenson netted 5 up to 9 lb, Hamish Young 16 up to 4½ lb, Iain Armstrong 8 up to 5½ lb, Hugh Baxter 8 including two nice fish of approx 10 lb and 15 lb, Stuart Forsyth caught 11 up to 8½ lb, Neil Garden 7 up to 5 lb, Denis Brown 10 up to 9 lb, John Chalmers 7 up to 3 lb, Kev Danby 12 up to 8 lb and Henry Lockhart decided to leave his float tube at home, a wise decision on the day perhaps as he had some great sport from the boat with 29 fish up to 7 lb.

(below) David's first double was not keen to come to the net

Best wishes
