Fishing The Fly Scotland Forum

Artloch Fishery
« on: 18/12/2006 at 20:08 »
Icy winds and very cold water made fishing challenging at times, but anglers did connect using intermediates with nomads, various fritz pattterns, bloodworm and a Walker's Special proving the most successful flies.

M McDonald released a good bow of 5 1/2 lbs, while N Thompson's bag included a bow of 6lbs.  P Adam tempted 8, again best at just over 6 lbs, while visitors I Rubins and J Preston released 8 and 9 respectively, also best at 6lbs.   Top rod was J Walker with 12, best at 3lbs, while junior Douglas Fraser weighted-in a cracking 5lbs 14 ozs bow for a Junior Troutmaster submission.

In common with other fisheries, Artloch is currently frozen.  A warmer front is moving in, but anglers should contact Stuart on either 01466 799410 or 07870 651368 for a pond update.

We wish all anglers a very Merry Xmas and Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.
