wow - the second picture is amazing.
according to the river levels on
http://www.fishpal.com/Scotland/Don/RiverLevels3.asp?dom=Pal
the Don is about 5 feet up. the chart makes it pretty obvious, but the pictures are far more impressive

It got bigger during the day, one hell of a detour to get home from work. The Ury was over the rod in Iverurie and at a depth that I did not want to try driving through, had to drive from Kintore via Inverurie, Oldmeldrum and Hatton of fintray to get back to my cottage, will remember to keep a map in the car in future!!  Had tomorrow off to fish, may just do some Spey casting practice in the field.

Anyone got any pics from further up the river?

Hi Ben

Re: "may just do some Spey casting practice in the field" ....... for once, casting in a field will probably look quite normal to onlookers :z4

Cheers

Dropped considerably but still very high with visability only about 6 - 8", should be worth a chuck on Monday or Tuesday for the salmon.  May throw some streamers in tomorrow close to the banks to see if I can manage to pull out any more large trout  :grin

cheers

Ben
