the Don is about 5 feet up. the chart makes it pretty obvious, but the pictures are far more impressive

It got bigger during the day, one hell of a detour to get home from work. The Ury was over the rod in Iverurie and at a depth that I did not want to try driving through, had to drive from Kintore via Inverurie, Oldmeldrum and Hatton of fintray to get back to my cottage, will remember to keep a map in the car in future!!  Had tomorrow off to fish, may just do some Spey casting practice in the field.

Well I have taken a day or two off work next week so I hope so 

Planning to fish the middle or upper river on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Re: "may just do some Spey casting practice in the field" ....... for once, casting in a field will probably look quite normal to onlookers

Dropped considerably but still very high with visability only about 6 - 8", should be worth a chuck on Monday or Tuesday for the salmon.  May throw some streamers in tomorrow close to the banks to see if I can manage to pull out any more large trout
