I had a 4-piece 9ft 4weight, light and supple and suited me very well. sadly, snapped it. sickened!!!!

Mick "Bloke" swapped it for P&P cost, but didn't have a 9ft in stock at the time, so sent me an 8'6" 4-wt. I don't get on with that, so went and bought another 9' 4-wt from Bloke. Nice, but a different blank from the first bloke i had (the first Bloke was the stunning red blank; this one is a deeper burgundy/brown, appears transparent).

good news is that Mick agreed today to swap the 8'6" rod for a 9' rod, so I'll now have two 9' 4-wts. hurrah! I'm very interested to see what the 2nd one looks like.

Oh, but back to your original thread -- go to ebay, look for bloke fly rod, there's a few 4-piece rods there, and I really like the 4-wt 9 footers, so they're worth a punt at around £125
