Artloch Fishery

Despite the poor weather, intermediate lines with lures, in particular the WSW and various Fritz patterns have accounted for some good fish at Artloch.

G Anderson tempted 7, including a 6lbs bow, and while T Jenkinson released a fully finned bow in excess of 10 lbs.   C McKay also released a double figure fish, while B Cresswell weighed in a cracking bow at 9lbs 8ozs.   J Rennie released 8, including a couple at 6 and 7 lbs, while W Rainnie tempted 10, best at 6 lbs.  R Harris tempted 12, best at 7 lbs.

NE Challenge Final Match

The weather was awful, at least to start with, but hardy fishers are bred in the NE and the majority of teams elected to continue with the final match.   Match winners were Haddo/Bennachie, followed by Gordon Fly Fishers, Aberdeen Fly Fishers and Kintore Angling Club.

Overal competition winners were Aberdeen Fly Fishers, second Kintore Angling Club, third Donside Fishers, followed by Gordon Fly Fishers, Haddo/Bennachie and finally Seaforth Angling Club.

£101 was raised for Cancer Research and handed over the David Taylor.
