Lochter's Muckle Troot..... A Muckle hole!

They opened the outlet to fill up the stock ponds but not only water came throught the pipe but so did the fish :!
They had to drain it to put a cage over the pipe for future, i would have thought it might have been a good idea before they filled it the first time would it not :?

How long do you think trout can live in field holes like this  :?

They went through the outlet pipe into the stock ponds they were trying to fill with water so no danger of escaping to the don ect.

Looks more like a mud hole than a muckle hole  :z6
How long do you think trout can live in field holes like this  :?

This is it at the stage of being filled up again, I don't know if it was drained dry i would guess the outlet would some feet above the bottom.

Not been out fishing since your orvis day just cant seem to find the time just now, managed to squeeze in a few hours lessons with Ben though, learned a fair bit   (thanks Ben) :z16, even finding it hard to get time to keep practicing what i was taught, might just take the rod to work and have a 20mins practicing at lunch.  :z16
