Salmon Rods
« on: 13/04/2009 at 13:10 »
Has anyone had experience of using the Shakespear Oracle salmon rods I'm looking to replace the lochmor I broke but dont want to break the bank. I'm looking at the 14ft #10.

Any other sugestions would be welcome price range upto £200.

Cheers

Not as good as the Lochmor, but the Oracle is a nice rod for the money.
Might be worth having a trawl around kev, there's lots of more interesting rods available for that sort of wedge of cash :wink

My only salmon rod is a 3 piece Oracle 14' #10.  I like it  - but I haven't had the opportunity to compare it to other makes of similar length / wieght.  If you live near Bridge of Don you're welcome to have a loan of it for a day or two over the next couple of weeks as I won't be going salmon fishing during that time.
