Wind was the only deterring factor,to what was a good weeek for anglers, where a variety of different tactics produced the goods and return bags for them.Plenty of good fish were caught, with Jim eddie on 22 fish with his best a nice 10lb ,er,Marc Moss had an 18 fish haul with a 7lb 2ozs and a 4lb fish for an 11lb 2ozs for 2 fish.Richard Robinson had 13 fish with a good fish of 7lbs his heaviest,Ben Grundie had 34 fish with his brother Josh on 14 fish,Gordon Grant had another fine day with 31 fish,Chris Johnston had 27 fish,Clive Toppin had a fine days s[port with 24 fish,Slater Scott had 22,19 fish fell to Bruce Lawrie, and on 18 was J McGovern,Rob Garthshore snr,17 for Gary Patience and Grant henderson,Andy McInnes had 14 ,Richard Hay,Ron Philips and Glen Murray had 12 each,Allan Crock had 11 as did Tom Anderson and On 10 fish was Cameron Milne and Gordon Ferris.each day did vary with flys but not the lines as it was floaters all week with fish high in the water and foam daddys, beetles,Tuftyscdc,s and lures in orange and white all making their mark.Good fishing was had on top, especially in the evenings but fish were on top feeding all day for most of the weekand with a big wave even muddlers caught with fish chasing them. The coarse loch produced for Tony Hunt with 9 carp,1 of which was 6lbs and 3 bream and a couple of heavy weights were lost during the week. The next compy is on the 19th april and is a coarse compy starting at 9am arrive for 8.30am for peg draw. This does not effect the fly loch or bait lochs.Names are been taken for the next fly competition on the 3rd of May and all competitions are on the board at the fishery for anyone who wants to place their name down for them. The result of the Winter singles is 1st Gordon Grant,2nd Tommy Graham,3rd Colin Moffat.well done to alland prizes are ready for collection at the fishery.
