Hi folks i am heading through to the Don this Monday with a friend we are semi experienced trout fishers/mainly trout farms.We have just upgraded our gear,so this is a first time fishing for salmon and also first time on the Don. Any tips would be a great help for us.

Not a lot of salmon about on the Don so far, I had a few trout last week before the weather turned and the wind got up.  forecast is for cold weather and snow over the weekend, the water temperature was still quite low on Sunday.
