I went after the Pike today withy the fly rod...OMG..Even heavy duty shooting heads were a struggle to cast! I really should not have headed to large, windswept lochs!!!!!

Not a touch, but not really suprised..the moon is totally in the wrong phase :(

Do you not go by the Moon phase??? Some fantastic work done on the way the moon effects the fishing..Abu used to have a chart in there catalogues with "good and bad days"..this was based on the moon.

The fishing should start to pick up from Tuesday.
The Dee has only had a few wish this week despite good water heights and tides...its the moon i tell ya..next week there will be a lot of fish taken...

(will be interesting to see if i am right :))

Hi Rob

Yes, I do believe that many factors like this affect the fishing, the moon (especially for sea fishing) and barometer pressure changes etc etc ....... but we wouldn't get out fishing very often if we only went when everything was right :z4

Yes, I think I'll keep going when I fancy and keep a good list of excuses up my sleeve for when things don't go well for me :z4

Cheers
Mike
