Good question Andy .......  :roll

Jim linked to this site the other day which you might find handy, click on "Live-Eye-Views" for roadside webcams. http://www.trafficscotland.org/index.aspx

Hopefully some of the others will help you with this ...... I'm getting to be a bit of a hermit in my old age!

Cheers

There is no fresh snow forecast and the winds should be light through Tuesday so the A9 to Aviemore should be no worse than the roads north west from Aberdeen. All main roads are open today.

As we had -14 degrees last night and the forecast is for freezing temperatures all today and Tuesday, the river might not be fishable when you arrive :z8

-16 at Sluie at 7am...brrrr....

River Dee is totally unfishable, being frozen over at Banchory and full of Gru for the rest of its course..a few unhappy anglers i should think.

Talking to a chap today based over in Aviemore who says the roads are fine but there is no fishing due to the ice and gru :(

Hope it clears up for you!

Minus 17 in Aviemore this morning so I would phone the Gillie or whoever before you travel.

Just read in the local paper that there are plans to put slow convoys of wind turbine towers through Keith every day this week starting tomorrow. The Aberdeen to Elgin road would best be avoided :cry

Sorry Baz

I've been test flying all morning, its a beautiful day at 1500ft :z16
Aberdeenshire sure looks pretty, bloody cold though, air temp actually went up as we did :shock -5 on the pan -2 in the air :z18
Lots of Budgies up and about  :z18
However the forecast for tomorrow is fine till lunchtime, then there are severe weather warnings for offshore, so you never know :wink
