"The Outcasts" ........ What's all this about then?
Well, we are going to start a local casting club .... casting on grass
The idea being quite simply to improve our casting and to learn to cast further, something which is a lot easier to concentrate on when we are away from water and away from fish
Although one or two casting gurus have already said that they would like to join in the fun, the club will be a "self help" group, so we help each other rather than having somebody giving us any form of instruction
The idea is not a new one and similar casting clubs exist in many parts of the world. Like the others, we will also have a "tape measure" session at some stage of each meeting, so that we can measure our progress ..... both against our own previously recorded casts and the casts of other club members.
The club will get going next spring, but we think it would be a good idea to hold a "taster session" before the winter really sets in ........
