Hi folks

I'm going to try for mackerel and hopefully Bass for the first time this summer.I'll probably have a go around the Boddam area. The power station sounds like a good bet.
Any info. on best tide times, lures etc would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Duncan

An hour each side of high tide is usually best , sandeel, bait fish type patterens. You need some where with deep water off rocks you can cast to. The outflow at the Power Station is no good for fly fishing. Try the rocks round the lighthouse at Boddam.

Thanks for the advice Jim.

Think i'll stick to the spinner until i know what i'm doing.Would Rapala type lures be any good at the power station?

I'm heading down to Peterhead with some spinners / feathers and bait! See what I can catch!

Feel free to join me, I'll be on ASCO side!  :z16

Probably start at 6:30/7ish and go on until the 11ish
