« on: 21/05/2008 at 15:49 »
I was fishing at lochter on monday and it was a flat calm with no wind and no fish rising! A local angler advised me to use a sinking line and "something black" and sure enough he was right , first cast i counted down to 10 and two pulls later bang ai was connected to a 5 pounder! . what would be everyones tactics on a day like i had ??

On a bright calm day , you are likely to have to go deeper to contact the fish , its just a case of finding the correct depth.

I usually like to fish a 3 dropper leader with various weights of buzzer/ nymph (heaviest on the point, lightest on the first dropper) until I find them. Mind you, I am pretty s---e, so it's probably the wrong thing to do........
