in fly fisherman magazine, there was a picture of a size 24 midge just caught in the surface of the eye. the article was about using glasses as eye protection as well as light / contrast enhancement. the article is old but you might find it in past issue information. i think that it happened in denver colorado , hope this helps. pete.
