Lures and buzzers have been the most effective patterns lately, with the fish moving up and down in the water depending on the weather and feeding for shorter periods anglers are having to work a bit harder to land good numbers but most anglers are still managing to catch.
Buckie angler J Rennie done exceptionally well, fishing buzzers over two sessions he managed to land 56 fish with the best being around 8lb.
L Stewart of Turriff landed 21 fish to 5.8lb on a home tied bloodworm while J Gardiner boated 19 to 4lb on a nomad.
R Loukes  landed 10 to 6lb on bloodworm and buzzers while P Lyon had bags of 10 and 6 with a fish of 10lb his best. A Paterson bagged 8 with a fish of 5lb taking his lures and A Hay also bagged 8 with two around 5lb taking a yellow dancer. G Sutherland landed 7 to 3lb on a bloodworm while S Rennie banked 7  to 4.8lb on buzzers. Ellon angler D Brown landed a fish of 10.9lb in his bag of 6 while G Anderson had fish of 10lb and  9lb in his bag of 6, all taken  lures.
