Hi,
Great site Bri . I can see my hoose and my old VW Golf in the driveway . Much better for the North east than my Google Earth which is almost terminally affected by cloud cover.

Rob, "Does it have a satellite view..cant work it out."   Just continue to zoom in . The image changes automatically to satellite view , at least it does on my browser.

Folks

It's not satellite pictures, it's aerial photography from a plane. At present there is only cover up the coast and as far inland as somewhere near Banchory. For those of us further inland where there is no recent photo cover you just get a brown screen and a message saying service not available.

Someday maybe we might get equal service. :z6

Hi Irvine,
Of course you are correct.  A moments thought would have revealed that most satellite images are not affected by cloud cover !  :z17

At least three sources. One is the BBC weather page which shows satellite images of current cloud cover.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/visiblesatellite.shtml

another is the Dundee satellite receiving station

http://www.sat.dundee.ac.uk/registerql.html

then there is the eumetsat web page at.

http://www.eumetsat.int/Home/Main/Image_Gallery/Real_Time_Imagery/index.htm

Also there is Google Earth which has complete world cover but it is not live and there is no way of knowing when the images were taken

Hope this helps
