When on the the Tay the permit rules said that you could kill a brownie  (not that i did or do) between the 10" & 12" whats your opinion on why this would be?

I can understand under 10" as theyre young upcoming breeders but over 12"  :? are they more fertile, produce more young what :z8

Above 12 inches the fish is becomming mature, and the bigger the fish, the more eggs it will lay and the stronger the resulting fish will be due to genetics. The bigger, stronger fish will produce similar offspring.
I suppose they have to put a limit somewhere..and thats quiet a tight limit meaning few fish would be elligible for bonking on the head..and in my book thats a good thing.

Thats my theory like..not sure if the Tay river board shares the same one  :z8, but that would be my version :)
