One of the rods was mine. I forgot to let you know how i got on Mike. It was a daiwa wilderness xt 9' #6. Broke about 3 inches from the top. Good job Noel was in the boat with me and lent me his spare.  :z16

I contacted Daiwa and told them i wasnt sure if i had knocked it with a goldhead or not. I was passing the factory and could take it in. I went in and the very helpful customer service girl took it backstage and came out 30 seconds later with a new top section FREE GRATIS for yours truley. Result!! Cheers Daiwa!! :z18

Was back in business the next day for a wee half day with my dad on a favourite Ayrshire fishery of ours! :z13

Noel  Take a run over too Artloch as I'm sure thats where Sharpes are based now. Not that far from you either.

They stock spare sections for the gordon 1&2 the belmont and have a small stock of reactor sections in stock. I should get my new section for my gordon 2 tomorrow. :z3

The rod i used today was a travel rod that my dad has as a spare, an Oscar travel deluxe i think its called. It was marginally better than no rod. :z4
