I have an 'as new' Michael Marshall Grand Prix 9' #5 XXD fly rod for sale :z16

Nice rod this one ( not a 'poker' ) it really has got quite a bit of feel considering it was designed as a distance casting rod :cool:

Mike Marshall has held more than his fair share of distance casting records at BFCC events ..... I'll even include his DVD to help you get the best from the rod too :wink

I would prefer a local sale ( I hate posting rods ) and the price is £175 please.

Not so sure about that Euan ....... I think this one might make a nice stillwater rod for somebody that fancies something a little different, it wouldn't be out of place on the river either.

Didn't know you had one of those Mr B and I've not cast one, a rare thing indeed :!

Tempting though it is for the rarity alone it's just not for me  :z6

Just like I really don't need the brand new Hardy Golden Prince 9/10 reel and spools I just bought, or the two J W Young Sea Venture reels.... I don't need another rod I won't have the time to use  :z7

Now if it had been a Switch rod, well I could have been tempted..... :wink

A funky build indeed. Very 1980's Tony Fordham style when it comes to colour scheme.  Me likes!

Interesting choice of reel seat as well. I built the PFFA pike rods with Fuji FPS seats as I knew a few would be used in the salt. Highly under rated seat for a fly rod.
