Fishing around Killin
« on: 29/07/2012 at 14:15 »
 Hi all,
I am going to Killin, Stirling/Perth area and am looking for any advice from the members on good fishing in the area, lake or river.I mainly fly fish for trout, but am open to all aspects of fishing.
As it is a new area for me any and all advice would be much appreciated.
  Thanks in advance,
   Keith

If your going to the stirling area the lake of Menteith is definately worth a visit! Plenty of great places to stay in that area also along with some great camp sites  :z18

River Tay at Kenmore, fish the right bank and watch the wading, ideal height less than 10" on Kenmore gauge.  East end of Loch Tay, ideally from a float tube and also the River Lyon.

Cheers

Come the revolution that can easily be arranged.

Back to th OP then if you fancy some fishing for wild browns with potential for something really special, then take a boat on Leven.

Tummel also worth a punt for troots.
