Fishing The Fly Scotland Forum

The Aul Troot

A cold and blustery week which has not deterred the fish but had an adverse effect on the number of anglers prepared to battle the elements. However, despite the conditions, some good catches were recorded with the leaders being;

M Ewen jnr            Turriff             18     Cat's Whisker
P Gray                   Turriff             10     Bloodworm (Olive)
M Ewen snr           Turriff              8      Cat's Whisker
S Maclean             Fraserburgh     8       WSW (Olive)
M Bruce                Buckie              8       Gold head nymph
G Kowalczik           Buckie              8       Damsel nymph
N Thomson           Turriff              7        Buzzers
W Milne                Whitehills         7        Cat's Whisker

The catches included a fair number of "blues" which have decided to reappear afer winter "hibernation" and are in excellent condition and fighting as well as ever.

Boats, rods and all fishing tackle available for hire and bookings are not necessary.
