Lochter Fishery Report
Spring was in the air at Lochter this week with sunglasses being the order of the day although nobody was brave enough to try shorts just yet.
There were a lot of new faces as well as some ‘well kent’ ones who had ‘dusted down their tackle’ ready for the season ahead.
The fish were certainly more active this week and were definitely on the feed. S Mackie and R Johnstone made the trip down from Findochty and they accounted for 15 and 11 fish respectively using a ‘Hoggie’.
Another coastal success was the trio from Macduff- Lenny Davidson, Peter Adam & Ben Gresswell who had over 30 fish brought to the net between them. They used a variety of ‘dancer’ mini lures and white fritz to accomplish this fine effort.
Kevin Neri from Ellon brough 15 fish to the net by the judicious use of a variery of diawl bachs fished with his usual expertise.
Another fishing trio did well this week, Walter Senior, Jock Ewing and Davy Wood had over 20 fish between them all. They used a variety of Walter’s own WSW’s.
S Turnbull- on his first visit to Lochter from Fife caught 9 fish one being 8lbs in weight using the ‘Little Devil’ lure in it’s yellow and pink lure.
J Parsons, one of our Senior Citizen regulars did well using a black and green tadpole managing 14 fish his day.
John Donaldson using a bloodworm & Montana combination hooked and landed 20 fish for a very successful session.
Ian Muir landed the biggest fish of the weekend at 18lbs using a red headed buzzer. This was returned to fight another day and it could be your turn next to connect with it.
