Title: Advice - Salmon tackle
Post by: Kev Danby on 29/02/2008 at 12:18
Hi all I'm looking to fill a few more spaces at home with tackle and I'm looking to add a salmon reel plus spare spool and a replacement floating line an intermediate and slow sinker. I'm no expert when it comes to casting and I'm hoping some of you may be able to advise on suitable lines/reel. The rod is a Daiwa Lochmor rated 9/10 15ft (possibly 14ft cant quite remember). Current line is a an airflo floater with various sink tips (a Sandy purchase). So far has one salmon to its name from the spey hopefully a few more to follow. I'll be fishing the Lochy in May and have been advised an intermediate and slow sinker would be useful.

I was thinking about the Snowbee lines and Shakey Phleugar obviuosly I dont want to break the bankwith the reel and lines (unless diver dave has massive discounts).

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Kev - you will shortly have a PM about the Lochy and I have an intermediate you can have pretty much FOC :wink
