Title: Missing the River....
Post by: Steven Kidd on 22/12/2021 at 16:58
 *smiley-sad*

Well we are right into the duldrums of winter and I must admit I am missing the river............

Been out for the rainbows a few times but not feeling the magic........ :z8

Anyway its Xmas!, but reminiscing, here are my highlights of the season...........what are yours?

 - Discovering Clyde Style Files
-  PB Brown Trout from the River Don, 3lb
-  Catching trout in Caithness during a Mayfly Hatch
-  Camping trip along Glen Lyon with Hill Loch fishing for brownies
-  Finally catching a fish on Loch Leven!
- Accidentally catching a Salmon on a 4wt glass rod

A great fishing year to sit down and light a pipe and ponder,  :-)

I have visions of you sitting on the bank with a Gandalf style pipe Steven - I like it  >)

Highlight of the season - the evening on the Don that I was surrounded by Sea Trout, I won't forget that one for a while  :!

And fishing with friends - it doesn't get any better than that.

Cheers
Mike
