Post by: Robert MacDonald-Lewis on 21/07/2021 at 07:43
Dyed up some deer hair and seals fur using Semperfli Picric acid solution. Used them to tie up this Picric Muddler

Thanks for the kind words gents.

The Semperfli kit is really easy to use no worrying about getting the temperatures right or having to keep a constant eye on it.

Years ago, during a trip to south Uist, yellow ish flies were doing well on the Machair lochs so I was tying a few up one evening. Started off using green tails, but one of the keepers recommended pink tails. They worked brilliantly, so I have stuck with them.
