A think am correct in saying the new owners are the same folk who own candacraig.. Surely a good way to generate business would be the offer of day tickets and a evening meal.. its a fair trek up the road so a package deal fish and food would be braw :z16.
I fished Cottown yesterday some cracking stretches on it :z16. Just was not sure were the beat finished is it bridge at Bellabeg to the small foot bridge on the right hand bank that seemed about 3/4 of a mile to me.

Yes the new “steading bar” at the lonach, is the same owners.
I’m not so sure they’d be keen on opening up the fishing from what I gather.

If it is getting used by the owners and guests I guess that's fair enough but if its barely used it seems a tad wasteful :z8 :z8..That said cant knock em for investing in Donside they have a cracking Instagram site for Candacraig and the steading bar it looks braw :z16 :z16.
Spar shop at Bellabeg also doing hot snacks and coffee :z16.

Hi Ivor,
The bottom end is a little bit further downstream of the footbridge.
To find it, Walk downstream from the footbridge, on the road. The river bends away from the road in a big loop. The river and road meet again. Keep going downstream. The river bends away slightly. Keep walking. The river and road meet again, and run parallel for a short stretch just in front of a house or two. There is a burn that comes in on the south bank. That’s more or less where the bottom of best is (99% sure, but doing From memory....)
