Title: Barrio predator line - on a switch rod ?
Post by: James Laraway on May 27, 2019, 16:21:20 PM
So Mike, i have been fishing your superb 28g intermediate predator line for a while now on my Loop Opti Salt #10 single hander.

but i was thinking....would it fish well on an oracle switch rod rated for an 8/9 do you think ? As the oracle switch is super light i was thinking of trying the 28g predator line with it for overhead casts with big pike flies- what do you reccon ?

( and don't try and sell me one of your 8/9 switch lines as i already have one and love it  - i was just thinking of trying to throw pike flies on the switch rod so thought I would ask the question ! )

Don't know James ...... weight should be about right for the rod, give it a try :z16

Cheers
Mike

I agree with Mike, it should be about right James.
May feel a wee bit light to begin with, but will take seconds to adjust your casting to match  :z16
