Title: The Tay
Post by: Jim Eddie on 02/04/2019 at 16:14
I was down in Perthshire Sunday visiting a pal. He is a member of the Dunkeld and Birnam association, they have 2/3 miles of Trout and Grayling fishing on the Tay on the Murthly / Glendelvine beats. £10 for a days trout fishing from the Spar Shop in Murthly.

The water fishes best with the dry, but nothing on the water when we started at 10:00, I fished wets with no success . A few March Brown came off around 14:00, not enough for a steady rise though. Around 15:30, we decided to call it a day. we had a seat by the Bridge pool before walking back to the car, next thing the trout are rising, both put on a DHE, 2 trout and 2 Grayling in 10 minutes , then the river was dead again. Still an enjoyable day

No doubt there are Beavers on the Tay  :wink
