Title: Rod drying motor
Post by: Gary Clewes on 26/03/2019 at 13:19
Hi all,

I'm just wondering, do you guys use a rod drying motor when applying epoxy to rod wraps? If so do you have any suggestions as to where I could get a reasonably priced one from or do you make your own?

I've been trying to search but either the products are out of stock or the search brings back results for people making their own from the likes of disco ball motors or old microwave motors.

Thanks

Gary

Hi Gary

I have a bank made up with 4 motors do I can turn all 4 sections at the same time.
The motors were from pac bay. But Fuji do one that does one but at a time for sensible money

These are quite good.
Hope that helps

Thanks Sandy,

I imagine having the bank of 4 is a huge time saver.

Hi Gary

It makes a huge difference, but  they are not cheap to set up . I’m building a dozen plus every year so it’s easy to justify , but the single  one works fine if you do 2 sections at a time.

Cotswold Custom Rods are the UK importers for American Tackle gear including the driers and rod wrappers.

Give Tom a shout and he should be able to help.
