it's the Gamakatsu hooks James I use the trout size, I used to tie Vbg flies in the 60's, buying the feathers from Donegal fly tying supplies, at 17/6d per dozen, very expensive then, I tied these up after reading Ransomes "Rod and Line", it was him that publicised the fly, Derek Roxborough

I was gifted Guinea Fowl years ago and I wish I knew where I have put it! I suspect that someone near Beauly may have ended up with it....
Love the hooks! For another straight eye type hook try the Veniard Osprey salt water hooks. I do all my salmon singles on them and I love them.
