Title: Pocket Fly Box Samples

Just playing with a couple of wooden fly box samples that we might possibly add to the one that we already have in the range at https://www.flylineshop.com/barrio-fly-boxes.html (https://www.flylineshop.com/barrio-fly-boxes.html).

The micro pocket fly box sample holds up to 40 flies :z12

Not sure about the logo in wood, I think I prefer the spider design that we use on the other one.

Mike,

I like the look of the flip up model but I could see me losing the entire contents of the other one pretty quickly  :z4

May not be a bad shout as a handy wee box to store tubes in a wader pocket though  :z16

I agree with Steven, that would make a great wee tube box.
In fact that be the thing that I am looking for for Sunrays! What are the dimensions Mike?

Hi Euan,

Externally, the box is 134 mm long by 74 mm wide and about 25 mm deep.

The two internal slots are 124 mm long by 29 mm wide and about 18 mm deep.

Reminds me of a pencil case :z4

While I've got the ruler out :z3

The Micro Pocket Fly Box ( or flip up as Steven called it ) is 88 mm long by 53 mm wide and about 28 mm deep.

I doubt that I would receive any product stock before Christmas, as these are not 'off the shelf' items. But time scales will depend on their current work load of course.

I have got plenty of the current pocket fly boxes in stock at the moment :wink

Thanks Mike. They look nice but my mates and I have a dozen or so fly boxes already.  The flip up will be useful when I pre select a few likely flies for the day, to save rummaging in the bag or pockets. My little Wheatly is now past it's best and the flip up would be a nice replacement. It is tasteful and a bit different  :z16

I have placed an order for some Mini Pocket Fly Boxes to be made and I'll let you know when they arrive :z16

Not sure how popular the Tube Boxes would be, so I haven't gone ahead with that one yet.

Tell you what ...... I'll just order some for stock ( Done )  :z16

So, ready for next season, we will have:
Pocket Fly Boxes ( up to 70 flies )
Mini Pocket Fly Boxes ( up to 40 flies )
Micro Pocket Fly Boxes ( up to 20 flies )
Tube Fly Boxes ..... no idea how many these will hold :z4
