Title: Lochter Report - St Andrew: Patron Saint of Fishermen
Post by: Howard & Stuart on 26/11/2018 at 15:39
Much of the country has been celebrating the birth of our patron saint St. Andrew. The good saint is also the patron of various other countries, individuals and activities. These include spinsters, women who wish to have children, people suffering from gout or sore throats, fishmongers and fishermen.

At Lochter Fishery Oldmeldrum several anglers successfully called up their patron saint to guide them while others wish they had. Fishing buddies Stuart Cruckett and Rhys West obviously got sound advice and had thirty-five between them using a variety of blobs and bloodworms while top exponent of the bung method Bill Gibb had a great day returning twenty five.

Christopher Tracy also had a fine day keeping one for his tea and releasing ten while the orange eggstacy blob did well for Robert McPherson bringing eight to the net. G. Hartly had a dozen using bungee buzzers and Peter Wilson from Dyce stuck with his favourite WSW and landed ten.

The forecast is very mixed and anglers will have to take the conditions into account to keep the scoreboard ticking over.
